Aim:

The purpose of the specialization is giving modern and practical knowledge in law. Graduates will see the main areas of Romanian legal system, the fundamental institutions of law, and will obtain theoretical and practical knowledge that will give the power to become a lawyer. Specialization concept is novel to the existing specializations in other faculties of law, in two ways: study program is bilingual (Romanian-Hungarian), designed so that some disciplines (civil law, criminal law, civil, criminal procedural law) are taught in Romanian, because the possession of Romanian legal terminology at the highest level is indispensable. Knowledge of Hungarian terminology offers the possibility to operate in two official languages of the European Union. On the other hand, this program would link theory and practice studio, the elements of Romanian law with elements of Community law in order to upgrade education law based on the experience of Western universities. Deepen practical knowledge and professional skills will be provided in the practice of field administration and the judiciary. Teaching and research seek to build and traditional legal education Transylvania and Cluj.

Basic Subjects:

Duration of the program is eight semesters. The subjects studied can be divided into four main categories: basic disciplines, disciplines of public law, criminal law and civil disciplines. In addition to the basic disciplines of law, students receive training in social sciences and modern languages also. For the field of interest, each student may specialize in one of three directions offered: European law and business Romanian, Romanian and European administrative law, respectively fundamental rights, human rights as a minority. Implementation skills, rhetorical skills are an organic part of training. High-level training is provided by renamed teachers in the country and abroad. Relatively small series of 40 individuals provides an effective, personal relationship between students and teachers. The material basis of the program of study includes a rich and timely collection of specialized books in Romanian and Hungarian. The library has magazines published in Romania and abroad, access to legislation is facilitated by database legislation. Existing international relations department facilitates student participation in conferences and competitions abroad.

Employment Possibilities:

Following the skills acquired after passing examinations, specialized studies and exams, all graduates of this specialization may be involved as judges, prosecutors, lawyers, notaries, legal advisers. Legal education of our faculty aims to prepare graduates so that they be able for entering the National Institute of Magistracy, to pursue a career as a judge or prosecutor, respectively to be prepared for admission to the bars of lawyers.
