Preparatory Course

Film, Photography, Media specialization

The preparatory course for admission in 2010 will be held in March 27 and April 10. The participation fee of 50 euro / person / occasion shall be paid to the secretariat of the Media Department. If you wish to participate please send an e-mail no later than March 25, or April 8 to the address piri@sapientia.ro. Please specify in the letter some contact information and the city where you have finished high school.

What should you know about these movies?

Views on the analysis:

• basic information about director, operators, actors, etc.;
• putting the events in a historical context;
• placing the film in cinema history, defining the genre and style, etc.;
• intrerpretation;
• relations with other arts, comparing with a literary or artistic creation.

Notes:

­Movies can be loaned from the library of the faculty (19 Deva st). Please, use any interpretion manual or literature accessible. It is even preferable if the applicant is not limited to bibliographies and recommended films, but knowing more creations of the artistic field. Preferably watching movies aired on Duna TV, TVR Cultural and TVR 1 in the program "Telecinemateca", even documentaries of the issue of profile.

It is recommended that the student be aware of at least one outside film on the list, that would reflect their preferences. However it is essential that the applicant be able to define the structure of a well known issue.
