Dear Visitor!

Cluj! We often refer to it as the Treasure City, the capital of Transylvania, the birthplace of King Matthias Corvnius and Stephen Bocskai, the Prince of Transylvania, the site of the Hungarian Cultural Days in Cluj, one of the strongest IT centers in Romania, the citadel of Hungarian cultural life in Transylvania, a dynamically developing economic center, home of CFR 1907 Cluj football club, and the list could go on. There are many descriptions and characterizations of a city that are true at the same time. In addition to all this, Cluj is the largest higher education center in Transylvania, where about a hundred thousand students study in bachelor, master, and doctoral programs every year. One of the faculties of Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania has also been located here for two decades now. The student body at The Faculty of Sciences and Arts is the smallest among our university’s faculties. However, this is not necessarily a bad thing: it allows for friendships to form and strengthen quickly, and for more direct student-teacher relationships. As we like to say, we know all our students by name. All this makes it easier for them to integrate into the university and get used to living in a big city.

Every year, we want to provide our students with the very best. A modern, 21st-century building, well-equipped classrooms and laboratories, one of Transylvania's largest TV and film studios, a sound studio, a modern dance hall, a specialized library with tens of thousands of volumes and audiovisual materials, a young and well-trained teaching team, and a friendly and Hungarian-speaking administration awaits the students who choose us. We strive to provide high-level, practice-oriented, and student-centered training which is made interesting and student-friendly through modern pedagogical methods. All this we do in the hope that it might serve our community.
