"The Workshop" was originally founded in the autumn of 2008 with the aim of creating a creative community of Media Department students. After a few years of activity, the Workshop practically ceased to exist, but in June 2014, after moving to the new building on Calea Turzii, the need arose again to create a self-training circle which would bring together the initiatives of current and former students and help them to develop professionally. The new Workshop aims to be a monthly film workshop that brings together current and graduated students interested in making professional films. The exchange of experiences around the presentation and realisation of film projects provides an opportunity for self-education and networking for current students, and for graduates to shoot their unrealised film projects. The Media Department provides a teaching presence at the workshop.
